5 Moseboken 29:13

för att han ska göra er till sitt eget folk (sin ägodel) idag och han ska vara en Gud till er (er ägodel) så som han har talat till dig, och som han har gett sin ed till dina fäder, till Abraham, till Isak och till Jakob. [1 Mos 12:1-3; 15:17-20]

That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
