Och det ska ske, om du lyssnar uppmärksamt på Herrens (Jahvehs) din Guds (Elohims) röst, så att du håller (vaktar, skyddar) alla hans befallningar (de tydliga budorden – hebr. mitzvot) som jag befaller (hebr. tsavah) dig denna dag, för att Herren (Jahveh) din Gud (Elohim) ska sätta dig högt över alla folk på jorden.
