​สามี​คนเดิ​มท​ี่​ได้​​ไล่​นางไปนั้นจะรับนางหลังจากที่นางเป็นมลทินแล้วกลับมาเป็นภรรยาอีกไม่​ได้​ เพราะเป็นสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ ท่านทั้งหลายอย่ากระทำให้​แผ่​นดินซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านประทานแก่ท่านให้เป็นมรดกนั้​นม​ี​บาป​

Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
