อย่าให้ศพค้างอยู่​ที่​​ต้นไม้​​ข้ามคืน​ ท่านจงฝังเขาเสียในวันเดียวกันนั้น (ด้วยว่าผู้​ที่​ต้องถูกแขวนไว้บนต้นไม้​ก็​ต้องถูกสาปแช่งโดยพระเจ้า) ท่านอย่ากระทำให้​แผ่​นดินของท่านซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านประทานแก่ท่านให้เป็นมรดกนั้นเป็นมลทิน”

His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
