ద్వితీయోపదేశ కాండము 21:23

అతని శవం రాత్రి వేళ ఆ మాను మీద ఉండనియ్యకూడదు. వేలాడదీసినవాడు దేవుని దృష్టిలో శాపగ్రస్తుడు కనుక మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా వారసత్వంగా మీకిస్తున్న దేశం అపవిత్రం కాకుండా ఉండేలా అదే రోజు ఆ శవాన్ని తప్పకుండా పాతిపెట్టాలి.”

His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
