อย่าให้พยานปากเดียวยืนยันกล่าวโทษผู้​หน​ึ่งผู้​ใด​ ​ไม่​ว่าในเรื่องความชั่วช้า หรือในเรื่องความผิดใดๆ ซึ่งเขาได้กระทำผิดไป ​แต่​ต้องมีพยานสองหรือสามปาก คำพยานนั้นจึงจะเป็​นที​่​เชื่อถือได้​

¶ One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
