കൊല ചെയ്തിട്ടു അവിടേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോയിജീവനോടിരിക്കേണ്ടുന്നവന്റെ സംഗതി എന്തെന്നാൽ: ഒരുത്തൻ പൂർവ്വദ്വേഷംകൂടാതെ അബദ്ധവശാൽ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ കൊന്നുപോയെങ്കിൽ, എങ്ങനെയെന്നാൽ:

¶ And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;
