પુનર્નિયમ 19:6

રખેને લોહીનો બદલો લેનારને ગુસ્સો આવે અને મનુષ્યઘાતકની પાછળ લાગીને રસ્તો લાંબો હોવાના કારણથી તે તેને પકડી પાડીને તેને મરણતોલ માર મારે, જો કે પહેલાથી તે તેના પર દ્રેષ કરતો ન હોવાને લીધે તે મરણયોગ્ય ન હોય તો પણ.

Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.
