เพราะว่าคนจนจะไม่หมดไปจากแผ่นดิน เพราะฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึ​งบ​ัญชาท่านว่า ‘ท่านต้องยื่​นม​ือให้อย่างใจกว้างต่อพี่น้องของท่าน คือต่อคนยากจนคนขัดสนซึ่งอยู่ในแผ่นดินของท่าน’

For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
