Deuteronomium 15:11

Want armen zullen nooit in het land ontbreken; daarom gebied ik u aldus: Gij zult uw hand wijd openen voor uw broeder, voor de ellendige en de arme in uw land.

For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
