ആവർത്തനപുസ്തകം 15:11

ദരിദ്രൻ ദേശത്തു അറ്റുപോകയില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു അഗതിയും ദരിദ്രനുമായ നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു നിന്റെ കൈ മനസ്സോടെ തുറന്നുകൊടുക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നു.

For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
