Deuteronomium 14:2

want gij zijt een volk, dat de Here, uw God, heilig is, en u heeft de Here uitverkoren om Hem een eigen volk te zijn uit al de volken, die op de aardbodem wonen.

For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
