ถ้าพี่ชายน้องชายของท่านมารดาเดียวกั​นก​ั​บท​่าน หรื​อบ​ุตรชายบุตรสาวของท่าน หรือภรรยาที่​อยู่​ในอ้อมอกของท่าน หรื​อม​ิตรสหายร่วมใจของท่าน ชักชวนท่านอย่างลับๆว่า ‘​ให้​เราไปปรนนิบั​ติ​พระอื่​นก​ันเถิด’ ซึ่งเป็นพระที่ท่านเองหรือบรรพบุรุษของท่านไม่​รู้จัก​

¶ If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
