ആവർത്തനപുസ്തകം 12:3

അവരുടെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങൾ ഇടിച്ചുകളയേണം; അവരുടെ ബിംബങ്ങളെ തകർക്കേണം; അവരുടെ അശേരപ്രതിഷ്ഠകളെ തീയിൽ ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളയേണം; അവരുടെ ദേവപ്രതിമകളെ വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു അവയുടെ പേർ ആ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കേണം.

And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.
