ബാബേൽരാജാവായ ബേൽശസ്സരിന്റെ ഒന്നാം ആണ്ടിൽ ദാനീയേൽ ഒരു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു, അവന്നു കിടക്കയിൽവെച്ചു ദർശനങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായി; അവൻ സ്വപ്നം എഴുതി കാര്യത്തിന്റെ സാരം വിവരിച്ചു.
