પછી રાજા દાર્યાવેશે આખી પૃથ્વી પર રહેતા લોકોને, પ્રજાઓને તથા વિવિધ ભાષા બોલનારાઓને પત્ર લખ્યો કે, “તમને અધિકાધિક શાંતિ થાઓ.

¶ Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
