అప్పుడు నెబుకద్నెజరు వాళ్ళతో “షద్రకూ, మేషాకు, అబేద్నెగో, మీరు నా దేవతలను పూజించడం లేదనీ, నేను నిలబెట్టించిన బంగారు విగ్రహానికి నమస్కరించడం లేదనీ నాకు తెలిసింది. ఇది నిజమేనా?

Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
