ദാനീയേലിന്റെ അപേക്ഷപ്രകാരം രാജാവു ശദ്രക്കിനെയും മേശക്കിനെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവെയും ബാബേൽ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ കാര്യാദികൾക്കു മേൽവിചാരകരാക്കി; ദാനീയേലോ രാജാവിന്റെ കോവിലകത്തു പാർത്തു.

Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.
