Ook is Hij het hoofd van de kerk – en de kerk is zijn lichaam. Hij is de oorsprong en omdat Hij als eerste uit de dood verrees, neemt Hij in alles de eerste plaats in.

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
