ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ വെൺകതിർകൊണ്ടും വിഷമഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടും ശിക്ഷിച്ചു; നിങ്ങളുടെ തോട്ടങ്ങളെയും മുന്തിരിപ്പറമ്പുകളെയും അത്തിവൃക്ഷങ്ങളെയും ഒലിവുമരങ്ങളെയും പലപ്പോഴും തുള്ളൻ തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞു; എന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
