AMOS 2:9

Or io distrussi già d'innanzi a loro gli Amorrei, ch'erano alti come cedri, e forti come querce; e distrussi il lor frutto di sopra, e le lor radici di sotto.

¶ Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
