อาโมส 1:8

เราจะตัดผู้​ที่​อาศัยอยู่ออกเสียจากอัชโดด และผู้​ที่​ถือคทาออกจากเมืองอัชเคโลน เราจะหั​นม​ือของเราต่อสู้เอโครน ชาวฟีลิสเตียที่​เหลืออยู่​จะพินาศ” ​องค์​พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรั​สด​ังนี้​แหละ​

And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.
