ആമോസ് 1:8

ഞാൻ അസ്തോദിൽനിന്നു നിവാസിയെയും അസ്കെലോനിൽനിന്നു ചെങ്കോൽ പിടിക്കുന്നവനെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും; എന്റെ കൈ എക്രോന്റെ നേരെ തിരിക്കും; ഫെലിസ്ത്യരിൽ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവർ നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.
