आमोस 1:11

यहोवा यह कहता है: “एदोम के तीन क्या, वरन् चार अपराधों के कारण मैं उसका दण्ड न छोड़ूँगा; क्योंकि उसने अपने भाई को तलवार लिए हुए खदेड़ा और कुछ भी दया न की, परन्तु क्रोध से उनको लगातार फाड़ता ही रहा, और अपने रोष को अनन्तकाल के लिये बनाए रहा।

¶ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
