பின்பு எகிப்து கானான் என்னும் தேசங்களிலெங்கும் பஞ்சமும் அதிக வருத்தமும் உண்டாகி, நம்முடைய முற்பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆகாரம் கிடைக்காமல்போனது.

Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.
