Tetapi di antara anggota sidang Mahkamah Agama, berdirilah seorang Farisi sekaligus pengajar hukum Taurat yang dihormati semua orang, namanya Gamaliel. Dia menyuruh supaya rasul-rasul itu dibawa ke luar untuk sementara.
