Handelingen 22:25

Maar toen men Paulus had uitgestrekt, om hem te binden, zei hij tot den aanwezigen honderdman: Is het u geoorloofd, een romeins burger te geselen, die zelfs niet eens veroordeeld is?

And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?
