ഭേദ്യം ചെയ്‌വാൻ ഭാവിച്ചവർ ഉടനെ അവനെ വിട്ടുമാറി; സഹസ്രാധിപനും അവൻ റോമപൗരൻ എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവനെ ബന്ധിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.

Then straightway they departed from him which should have examined him: and the chief captain also was afraid, after he knew that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.
