Toen hij verlof had gegeven, ging Paulus op de trappen staan, en wenkte met de hand tot het volk. En toen het doodstil was geworden, sprak hij hen toe in het hebreeuws, en zeide:

And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,
