மாயவித்தைக்காரர்களாக இருந்தவர்களில் அநேகர் தங்களுடைய புத்தகங்களைக் கொண்டுவந்து, எல்லோருக்கும் முன்பாகச் சுட்டெரித்தார்கள்; அவைகளின் விலையைத் தொகைபார்த்து, ஐம்பதினாயிரம் வெள்ளிக்காசாகக் கண்டார்கள்.

Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
