આખા શહેરમાં એ ગડબડાટ પ્રસરી ગયો. ત્યારે તેઓ મકદોનિયાના ગાયસ તથા આરિસ્તાર્ખસ, જેઓ મુસાફરીમાં પાઉલના સાથીઓ હતા, તેઓને પકડીને બધા ભેગા મળીને શલ્યખંડમાં દોડી ગયા.
