​แต่​เมื่อพวกเหล่านั้นขัดขวางตัวเองและกล่าวคำหมิ่นประมาท เปาโลจึงได้สะบัดเสื้อผ้ากล่าวแก่เขาว่า “​ให้​เลือดของท่านทั้งหลายตกบนศีรษะของท่านเองเถิด ข้าพเจ้าก็ปราศจากเลือดนั้นแล้ว ​ตั้งแต่​​นี้​ไปข้าพเจ้าจะไปหาคนต่างชาติ”

And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
