அவர்கள் எதிர்த்து நின்று பவுலுக்கு எதிராகப் பேசினபோது, அவன் தன் ஆடைகளை உதறி: உங்களுடைய இரத்தப்பழி உங்களுடைய தலையின்மேல் இருக்கும்; நான் சுத்தமாக இருக்கிறேன்; இனி நான் யூதர்களல்லாதவரிடத்திற்கு போவேன் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லி,

And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
