அவன் கர்த்தருடைய வழியிலே போதிக்கப்பட்டு, யோவான் கொடுத்த ஞானஸ்நானத்தைமட்டும் தெரிந்தவனாக இருந்து, ஆவியில் வைராக்கியள்ளவனாகக் கர்த்தருக்குரிய காரியங்களைத் தெளிவாய்ப் போதகம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டுவந்தான்.

This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
