Paulus kom också till Derbe och Lystra. Där fanns en lärjunge som hette Timoteus. Han var son till en troende judinna [hennes namn var Eunike, se 2 Tim 1:5; 3:15], men hans far var grek. [Timoteus var alltså jude till födseln, men hade inte blivit omskuren.]
