En omdat Paulus en Barnabas hen krachtig tegenspraken en er grote onenigheid ontstond, werd besloten Paulus, Barnabas en enkele anderen uit hun midden naar de apostelen en oudsten in Jeruzalem te sturen om de kwestie met hen te bespreken.
