தமஸ்குவிற்கு அடுத்த சீரியாவிலே படைகளை வைத்தான்; சீரியர்கள் தாவீதுக்குச் சேவை செய்து, அவனுக்குக் கப்பங்கட்டினார்கள்; தாவீது போன இடத்திலெல்லாம், யெகோவா அவனைக் காப்பாற்றினார்.

Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
