ఇశ్రాయేలు గోత్రాల పెద్దలంతా హెబ్రోనులో ఉన్న తన దగ్గరికి వచ్చినప్పుడు రాజైన దావీదు హెబ్రోనులో యెహోవా సన్నిధిలో వారితో ఒప్పందం చేసుకున్నాడు. వారు తమపై రాజుగా ఉండేందుకు దావీదుకు పట్టాభిషేకం చేశారు.
