2 Samuel 5:6

Och kungen [David] och hans män gick till Jerusalem mot jevusiterna, invånarna i landet. [Efter Davids kröning i Hebron vill han återta Jerusalem.] Men de talade till David och sa [arrogant och självsäkert]: ”Du ska inte komma in hit, för om [du gör det] kommer [till och med] blinda och halta att driva bort dig!” De tänkte att David kommer aldrig att ta sig in [i staden].

¶ And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.
