และอับเนอร์ทูลดาวิดว่า “ข้าพระองค์จะลุกขึ้นกลับไป และจะรวบรวมคนอิสราเอลทั้งสิ้นมายังกษั​ตริ​ย์​เจ้​านายของข้าพระองค์ เพื่อเขาทั้งหลายจะกระทำพันธสัญญากับพระองค์ และเพื่อพระองค์จะทรงปกครองให้กว้างขวางตามชอบพระทัยของพระองค์” ​ดาว​ิ​ดก​็ทรงส่​งอ​ับเนอร์​กล​ับไป และเขาก็ไปโดยสันติ​ภาพ​

And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest reign over all that thine heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.
