ശൗലിന്റെ ഗൃഹവും ദാവീദിന്റെ ഗൃഹവും തമ്മിൽ യുദ്ധം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന കാലത്തു അബ്നേർ ശൗലിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിൽ തന്നെത്താൻ ബലപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.
