જયારે શાઉલનો દીકરો ઈશ-બોશેથ ઇઝરાયલ પર રાજ કરવા લાગ્યો ત્યારે તે ચાળીસ વર્ષનો હતો, તેણે બે વર્ષ રાજ કર્યું. પણ યહૂદાનું કુળ દાઉદને આધીન રહેતું હતું.
