તોપણ રાજાનું વચન યોઆબની તથા સૈન્યના સરદારોની ઉપર અસરકારક થયું. તેથી યોઆબ તથા સૈન્યના સરદારો ઇઝરાયલના લોકોની ગણતરી કરવાને રાજાની હજૂરમાંથી ગયા.
