અને જે દૂત લોકોને મારતો હતો તેને જોઈને દાઉદે ઈશ્વરને કહ્યું, “જો, મેં તો પાપ કર્યું છે તથા દુષ્ટ કામ પણ કર્યા છે. પણ આ ઘેટાંએ શું કર્યું છે? કૃપા કરી તમારો હાથ મારી વિરુદ્ધ તથા મારા પિતાના ઘરની વિરુદ્ધ કરો, ઘેટાંની વિરુદ્ધ નહિ.”
