தாவீதின் நாட்களில் மூன்று வருடங்கள் தீராத பஞ்சம் உண்டாயிருந்தது; அப்பொழுது தாவீது யெகோவாவுடைய முகத்தைத் தேடினான். யெகோவா: கிபியோனியர்களைக் கொன்றுபோட்ட சவுலுக்காகவும், இரத்தப்பிரியரான அவன் குடும்பத்தாருக்காகவும் இது உண்டானது என்றார்.
