2-Samuel 21:2

Toen riep de koning de Gibeonieten en zeide tot hen – de Gibeonieten nu behoorden niet tot de Israëlieten, maar tot de rest der Amorieten en ofschoon de Israëlieten hun een eed hadden gedaan, had Saul in zijn ijveren voor de Israëlieten en voor de Judeeërs getracht hen om te brengen –

And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)
