Maar Abisai, de zoon van Seruja, kwam hem te hulp en sloeg de Filistijn dood. Toen bezwoeren de mannen van David hem: Gij zult niet meer met ons ten strijde uittrekken, opdat gij de lamp van Israël niet uitblust.
