ఇశ్రాయేలు వారంతా దావీదును విడిచిపెట్టి బిక్రి కొడుకు షెబను వెంబడించారు. అయితే యొర్దాను నది నుండి యెరూషలేము వరకూ ఉన్న యూదావారు రాజు దగ్గరే ఉండిపోయారు.
