યોઆબના લોકોએ આવીને આબેલ-બેથ-માઅખાહમાં તેને ઘેરીને પકડી લીધો. તેઓએ નગરની દિવાલની સામે માટીનો ઢગલો ઊભો કર્યો. સૈન્યના સર્વ લોકો જે યોઆબની સાથે હતા નગરના કોટને તોડી પાડવા માટે તેના પર મારો ચલાવ્યો.
