परन्तु अमासा ने उस तलवार की कुछ चिन्ता न की जो योआब के हाथ में थी; और उसने उसे अमासा के पेट में भोंक दी, जिससे उसकी अंतड़ियाँ निकलकर धरती पर गिर पड़ीं, और उसने उसको दूसरी बार न मारा; और वह मर गया। तब योआब और उसका भाई अबीशै बिक्री के पुत्र शेबा का पीछा करने को चले।

But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab’s hand: so he smote him therewith in the fifth rib, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. So Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.
